Hello people. Fashion Inspired week continues..

This post was inspired by an article on about Target style in Vogue which popped up on my news feed on Facebook last week.

I love to dress up and anyone who knows me well knows that I am a bargain shopper..I am all about affordable fashion so discount stores are my best friend. I buy some of the staples for my closet from target so I was very excited to see this....

Strike a Pose: Reimagining 15 Iconic Vogue Images Through a Target Lens

Target and Vogue  come together to celebrate more than a century of shared inspiration.

Inspired by New York Fashion Week, Target set out in this 20 page insert of Vogue's September issue to reimagine 15 iconic images in Fashion History with images spanning from. From what I understand, The September issue is the biggest of the year, known throughout the fashion world as the trendsetting guide to the fall season

Beyonce made the September issue cover

"The word divas is used for so many female performers, and it often means they have reputations for being difficult but she exudes charm and a lovable quality" - Marc Jacobs

Target pays homage to fashion history with a 20-page insert.
Throughout the 20 pages, you’ll see Target apparel, accessories, home goods, grocery essentials and more as inspired by historic, high-fashion photos. Take the oversized pearl necklace from the January 1929 cover, which Target reimagined using volleyballs. Or the April 1918 peacock cover, which we’ve recomposed with towels, draperies, wall décor and a feather duster. Even the eye of the peacock is a surprise—a brass place card holder in the shape of a snail.

Inspired by Vogue March 1943
This photograph ran in 1943, the year of the first Press Week (now New York Fashion Week) when journalists were unable to get to Paris during the war, solidifying America's place among the international fashion community.

The beauty products used to re-create this iconic image are all Sonia Kashuk, sold exclusively at Target.

This cover photograph from February 1959 was headlined "New Ways to Wear Colour!" The image represents the idea of change by depicting new developments in fashion and culture that would last for decades to come.

The re-created image proves that, even in a changing world, a simple cinch belt (paired here with Target's exclusive Ava & Viv line) can still elevate any outfit.

I love Ava & Viv
