Hello people...It is the last week of September Wow..can you imagine? Month 9 of 2015 is slowly but surely coming to an end...I love sharing positive stories and this one makes me excited and proud. 

This is a spotlight on one of our Camer designers who featured among designers from  around the world  in a special edition of Vogue!! 

Kibonen NY was recently selected as one of the 12 designers by the ITC Ethical Fashion Initiative in partnership with ‪#‎eyesontalent fashion talent scouting agency - Adding her to some of the best African designers in their network. 

This year’s September Issue of Vogue Italia also includes a special edition featuring Vogue Talents 2015 Fashion Designers. Kibonen NY is one of the 200 designers around the world featured.

ICAF  stands for the International Coalition for African Fashion. ICAF’s mission is to build a coalition where Designers of African decent  have one voice to represent them and build a strong support system as well as utilize the amazing tools that will help develop their brands.  True to this mission, the expertise of Style expert, fashion executive, global brand ambassador and sales strategist Tamiko White was sought after in a workshop with the designers on  "How to Build a Profitable Clothing Brand"

THE HOTJEM is a Fashion & Lifestyle blog that simply chronicles my personal fashion style and provides an overview of some of the latest fashion trends (from my perspective), beauty tips, some entertainment news and lifestyle events (including healthy living). THE HOTJEM also has a section called STREET @AFRICANA which is primarily dedicated in promoting African designers and fashion but also showcases anything African such as art, photography, entertainment and businesses as I feel that Africans are underrepresented and are not heavily promoted in any of the categories mentioned above. It is my way to show support of Africa and our talents. Of course since charity begins at home, I made it a point to first feature a lot of our Cameroonian talents while branching out to other African countries.

AYISSI NGA Joseph-Marie aka JJ STYLE is a clothing designer chic Streets Franco-Cameroonian nationality. Being himself the son of a tailor and following in the footsteps of the pioneers of fashion as Cameroon Imane AYISSI or Martial TAPOLO, he created “WAZAL” his clothing line in 2005. In 2006, he launched his first models that are worn by some celebrities such as SINGUILA, ALPECO, WAYNE BECKFORD, ROMARIC KOFFI and LALCKO.
