EVENT SPOTLIGHT: THE ICAF AFRO POP UP EVENT

Hello people..Our Designers represented at ICAF's Afro Pop Up event last weekend in NYC. 

ICAF  stands for the International Coalition for African FashionICAF’s mission is to build a coalition where Designers of African decent  have one voice to represent them and build a strong support system as well as utilize the amazing tools that will help develop their brands.  True to this mission, the expertise of Style expert, fashion executive, global brand ambassador and sales strategist Tamiko White was sought after in a workshop with the designers on  "How to Build a Profitable Clothing Brand"



How To: -Develop a full ready-to-wear line (design, fit, production)
- Create and distribute relevant marketing materials
- Trade show preparation and follow-up
-Building the right sales team
-Build your brand image

This workshop particularly targeted the new, young, and re-establishing designer who benefited from Tamiko’s  tools to make their brands profitable.

It is almost Summer and the pop up shop event was a place to be, where designers sold their craft to the world.

Prominent at this pop up  were Cameroonian designers

Voypa pronounced " vo[ï]-pa " is  luxury brand based in Montreal, Canada.

 Voypa is bringing in : street wealth, language, prestige and contemporary bourgeoisie. It's like Jay- Z rapping on one of Beethoven’s symphony.

Kain’Fri NY (canefree) is an exclusive brand of Hand-Crafted handbags, Jewelry, shoes and clothes created by New York fashion designer Felicia Ursula. The Kain’Fri name is a rearrangement of the French derivative word “Africain”; which in a deeper format represents the New, Daring and Exciting Africa

Nyanga creations  is no stranger to IRepCamer. [Previously featured here].. Also present at the event was Kibonen Nfi of KibonenNY who decided to pause on her activities and gain more professional insights which she now shares with her mate.
