MUSIC THURSDAY: DC BASED VILLE DROPS FRESH OLOPYTO DANCE VIDEO


It's Another Music Thursday!!     

Washington DC  based afro-pop rap artiste and Franco Records signee, Ville (formerly known as Vreezy Ville) has dropped new choreographic video of his highly energetic ‘Olopyto’ dance.
Directed and edited by Maryland based Champion Studios, the video depicts the full scale choreography from talented dancers highlighting different dimensions of the dance steps which has gone viral on the streets of Nigeria, Cameroon, and the United States of America.

 Mr. Franco Bonghan, CEO of Franco Records, describes the new ‘Olopyto’ choreography  as a jump into an aggressive campaign which is geared towards giving Ville the spot he deserves in contemporary African pop culture.

Ville, a Cameroon born, Washington USA based rap artiste has seen his rise from his hits like ‘Cameroon Azonto’, ‘Na You’, ‘Brighten Your Night’, ‘TINGALI’, ‘Waiti I Do (Oleku remix)’, ‘Shake It’, ‘Olopyto’, ‘Too Blessed’ and ‘Pon De Floor’

This new video is a prelude and "warm up" to the release two fresh singles, ‘Shiki Bambam’ and ‘Love to Yaoundé’ to be released later this year.

Background
In the light of furnishing the public with constructive audio-visual content for the purpose of change, Zumhoo Studio Works, a Cameroon based production company has released its short film, "Damaru". This movie, shot in the Tole locality in Buea, Cameroon, centers is about  Damaru, a young deaf girl who receives a cold shoulder from her society and must battle obstacles in order to get enrolled in a special education program.

Directed by Agbor Obed Agbor, this movie was done to create awareness on the issue of stigmatization towards the handicapped, using deafness as an example. The trailer was released online on 22 August 2014 on the studio's blog and site and a Facebook page for the short film has also been created. It is the studio's aim to publicize this short film so as to amass support for the campaign.

Rastafari has been on the replay since I heard it. Strong vocals and great production. The  track is good mix of Afrobeat & Reggae!!I like her style already.Looking forward to hearing more from Daphne.
