MS. MANKA NADINE - CAMER's Rep AT the MISS UNITED NATIONS PAGEANT...

Ms Manka Nadine will represent Cameroon at this year's edition of  the Miss United Nations Pageant

The up and coming model who is the face of Afroshic Clothing, was first runner up at Miss West Africa Cameroon 2011 and a recent recipient of the TOYP, JCI Cameroon's Ten Outstanding Young Person; hopes to fly her Green-Red-Yellow flag this summer in Miami Florida

The purpose of the United Nations Pageant?

The purpose of the United Nations Pageants is to give all men & women the opportunity to come together in a pageant setting regardless of their background, to build relationships with other men & women who are working diligently to leave a positive impact in their communities.

As the United Nations Pageants delegates come together and share their community volunteer projects, ideas and goals with each other, they become unified as pageant brother/sisters in the United Nations Pageants Family. This sister/brotherhood strengthens them to see beyond their immediate surroundings and situations and extends their service across the globe. As each delegate share ideas of how he/she serves his/her community, he/she and all whom he/she meets will be strengthened and edified because their paths have crossed.

Ms. Nadine hopes to use this platform to continue spreading her message of empowering orphans through education.

KILSE FASHION is "Where Glamour Begins"

Label:Kilse Fashion

Designer: Alice Kuaban

Style Inspiration:  60s Vintage

Designer Inspiration: Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik

In  3 words...Kilse is Simple - Stylish - Sophisticated.

"I have always had a huge admiration for the style and fashion of the 60s, simply because of the grace, elegance and sophistication that each outfit presented. My own personal style in actuality epitomizes vintage fashion. By using the style of the 60s as a platform for my collection, I was able to create pieces that every young professional lady can feel confident, sophisticated and sexy in."

ATTENTION TO DETAIL..the form fitting silhouette, the surprising open back, the placement of rhinestones, etc, are a few of the intricate details that incorporates in her designs to provide a modern twist while staying true to the vintage style.

Every piece in is either design by our vintage designer or created as a result of a collaboration with foreign designers. The online store came to life 9 months ago, but the creative and planning process my creations started in early 2010.

"In my opinion today's young working ladies are constantly looking for versatile outfits that would portray their gracefulness in a work environment, and yet still being chic for a night out in the town with friends. Factors which I believe I did my best to accomplish in this collection"

HER GOAL & VISION: To provide young working class ladies  adaptable, conservative, yet sophisticated outfits that can be transformed from day to night.

Her collection includes handbags, jewelry, shirts, jackets, blazers and dresses.

Check out this lovely post on the BrinsImage Blog.

Here are a few pictures of her recent fashion show in MD.

Enjoy....

This young talented smart lady is up to something great!!Keep up the great work Alice.....

Giving Back: AMOM CHARITY's Sponsorship Drive...

"That best portion of a good man's life; his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love"...William Wordsworth (English Poet)

"Amom" in Lamnso means "Try". "Awamom" means..."Let's try".."Amomi"..means.."You are trying"...Hopefully you get the drift..lol!

Amom Charity's Sponsorship drive for the 2012 academic year
"Did you know that with $105.00, you can sponsor an orphan or vulnerable child for 2012 academic year with books, tuition and health insurance all included?
There are over 2,000 orphans and vulnerable children who cannot afford any form of education in the Bui and Donga Mantung Division in Cameroon.Vulnerable kids are either orphans or kids who have lost a parent to HIV/AIDS.

Our goal is to sponsor 100 children for the 2012 academic year.

As part of our effort to raise funds towards this cause, I am taking on a major first time challenge to skydive from over 10,000 feet in Tandem.

Please sponsor me by contributing towards this noble cause and also spread the word
